At the heart of the CareConnect Summit are co-founders Alyssa Elting McGuire and Adriana Gavozdea, who together bring more than 35 years of extensive experience in the care home sector. Their shared mission is to elevate the Oregon care home industry by empowering providers with the knowledge, resources, and collaborative spirit they need to thrive.

Alyssa’s journey in the industry is built on a foundation of deep regulatory and investigative experience. As a former licensor for APD homes and an APS investigator, she has a firsthand understanding of the standards and challenges facing providers. Through her work as the founder of Oregon Care Home Consulting & Training and the Care Home Campus, Alyssa has become a trusted guide, offering essential support and insight to providers navigating complex operational landscapes.

Adriana’s expertise is rooted in direct, hands-on care, beginning with her time as a caregiver in her family's APD home. This practical experience, combined with her specialized role as a realtor, gives her a unique perspective on the entire provider journey. As the founder of Laria Real Estate and Senior Placements, she has been instrumental in helping hundreds of new providers successfully purchase and launch their own care home businesses.

Together, their complementary skills create a powerful force. Alyssa's regulatory and consulting expertise pairs seamlessly with Adriana's practical and business-focused background, allowing them to address the full spectrum of provider needs. Their collective vision is to foster a more connected and informed community for the future of care homes in Oregon.

Their commitment to this community began in 2022, when they started hosting biannual Care Home Conferences in Lake Oswego. Building on the success of these events, which were previously held online during the pandemic, they have proudly rebranded their gathering as the CareConnect Summit—a name that reflects their dedication to fostering meaningful connections and shared growth.
